My Wife and I were born in Beirut, Lebanon. In Beirut, I was the owner of a downtown restaurant, WAHIB'S UNION. We served a menu of Continental and Middle Eastern foods. In 1979, we immigrated to California and opened a small restaurant in Alhambra. The original WAHIB'S MIDDLE EAST RESTURANT had four tables and could seat only 20 customers. WAHIB'S was given excellent restaurant review by the Los Angeles Times and the Pasadena Star newspapers. Dining Out in LA reported WAHIB'S as "True Lebanese style food served with the care and skill that would do a fine restaurant proud."
In 1990, WAHIB'S moved 2 blocks down the street in Alhambra, to the present location. WAHIB'S success continued, and quickly developed good customer support throughout Southern California. The Los Angeles Times restaurant review reported "WAHIB'S MIDDLE EAST RESTAURANT & BAKERY is the Best Lebanese Restaurant from Hollywood to Detroit."
In 1996, WAHIB'S built a new Kitchen and remodeled the dining room. The present dining room can seat about 200 customers for lunch or dinner services. WAHIB'S offers a special Middle Eastern Breakfast daily. The new large Kitchen and food preparation areas provide catering both small and large groups (weddings and parties.) WAHIB'S can provide complete catering sevices for over 500 guests. Also Banquet Room Avilable.
